Traffic To Your Website With Google Adwords

Google Adwords can be a very pivotal tool for getting traffic to your website. The only negative part about Google Adwords is that the traffic is not free but you have to pay for it. I have used this programme to drive traffic to one of my websites. If done properly this could be a very good way of getting visitors or even potential customers to your website depending on what you do on your website.

Obviously there are free methods of getting traffic to your website online which include blogging, writing articles, submitting your website to search engines, email marketing and so on. It is different with Google Adwords but believe me the results can be rewarding. Most major companies and organisations worldwide market their websites in this manner.

How does it work?

You obviously need to setup a Google Adwords account before you begin advertising your website. After you have set up an account, you need to state your monthly budget. That is how much you are willing to spend a month on the programme. Some big organisations spend thousands and thousands of dollars a month on this programme. So the more you spend on this programme the better for you.

This programme operates like an auction. People bid for keywords, which are search terms that describe what it is that you do on your website and potential customers can find you and your website by typing in certain keywords. So people who have a higher budget and are willing to spend more money on certain keywords get more exposure and their ads are shown more times.

So when you setup your account, you will be given the chance to create your Ad Unit which will describe what your website is all about. This Ad Unit is short and you have to get straight to the point. Basically, your Ad Unit should be powerful enough so that people click on it and get directed to your website. This programme is the opposite of Google Adsense which is a programme where webmasters publish your Ads on their websites and they get paid for each click made on these Ads.

So this is how it works, you pay Google so they advertise your Ad Units all over their network on a Pay Per Click (PPC) basis. They go on and publish your Ad Unit on their search engine and on other webmasters websites. These webmasters as mentioned earlier are part of Googles Adsense programme.

About Keywords and Ad Units

You are allowed to submit as many keywords as you like and you can alter and add more keywords at anytime. You are also allowed to create more than one Ad Unit. You can make 2 Ad Units and you can obviously test them both to see which one is bringing in results.

You can amend your Ad Unit at anytime and also you can even pause it so that Google stop showing your Ad Unit(s)

Try it!

If you are obviously struggling to get traffic to your website this might be a good option for you if you have the funds. If you do not have the funds then keep calling out for free traffic. The best.
